An Orlando native, Vicki's first job in tourism was a part-time position at Walt Disney World Resort as a tour guide. This experience led to a unique opportunity to become a Walt Disney World Ambassador in 1978. This role ignited her passion even more for the tourism industry, leading her to represent Florida globally with the Florida Division of Tourism, now known as VISIT FLORIDA. Her dedication to promoting the Sunshine State paved the way for her return to Orlando to join the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority in 1994.
At the Aviation Authority, Vicki focuses on expanding air service to Orlando, a mission crucial for enhancing tourism and economic growth for our community. For Vicki, while she loves to get the call about new flights coming to Orlando, the greater reward is the impact and experience of the traveler. Vicki explains, “When you’re working in tourism, there's something about helping to create experiences for people... whether it's family gatherings or for a quinceanera, and they are coming from another country. It’s giving people those opportunities.”
By working in Orlando’s tourism industry, Vicki’s passion meets purpose, as each day brings the potential to make an impact.
