Michael James Scott grew up in Orlando and found his calling at Dr. Phillips High School's Visual and Performing Arts Program. He trained with Ann Reinking's Broadway Theatre Project and went on to earn his BFA from Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts. Michael has been in more than ten Broadway shows and became the longest-running actor to play The Genie in Disney's Aladdin—more than 4,000 performances across four productions on three continents, earning Australia's prestigious Helpmann Award along the way. Michael currently stars as Nurse Dubois in ABC's hit reboot of Scrubs and co-hosts the podcast HypeFriend. He has never forgotten where it all started.

Freeman also served as COO of U.S. Travel from 2011–2013, helping secure passage of the bipartisan Travel Promotion Act and contributing to the creation of TSA PreCheck. A veteran association executive, Freeman is known for driving organizational growth and securing major policy victories across multiple industries.
