Destination Experience Intern

Job Description

The Visit Orlando Destination Experience team is responsible for acting as the liaison between Visit Orlando members and meeting professionals bringing their conferences or events to the destination.  This team provides various service options to enhance and support attendance building, destination marketing content, site visits, and business opportunities to members. The Destination Experience intern will support the team with preparing collateral for reunion season, assisting with invoicing, answering the phone, handling inquiries and fulfilling various orders. 

Destination Experience Intern duties may include:

  • Fulfill inventory requests (guides/collateral/delivery).
  • Actively engage with CMS system to input client details.
  • Research local resources and create contact lists.
  • Fulfill and process for internal amenity requests.
  • Assist with member communication/schedule member meetings.
  • Attend department and client meetings.
  • Work closely with other company departments.
  • Submit weekly project report to supervisor.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Work in an ever-changing atmosphere where each day presents a new project and learning experience.

Qualifications

Basic

  • Strong organizational, communication and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills – to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint - are required

Preferred

  • Basic knowledge of the meetings and events industry

**Interns will be paid $15 per hour, must be enrolled in classes, & must be able to work between 20-24 hours a week. (Flexibility in days/hours)
