Travel Industry & Sales Intern

Job Description

Visit Orlando is seeking a Travel Industry Sales Intern for the Summer 2023 semester majoring in hospitality/tourism, marketing, or other business-related majors.

The Travel Industry & Sales Intern duties may include the opportunity to:

  • Supporting managers and directors with arrangements for marketing events such as sales missions, trade shows and Destination Orientations.
  • Updating marketing resources and presentation materials; and interacting with the travel industry and our member partners. 
  • Coordinating with representatives and members on Orlando packages for clients (Prize Packages).
  • Assist in developing itineraries and updating special offers and listings to market the destination on the Trade Professional website.
  • Specific focus project to be determined during team orientation.
  • Sales Mission: Arrangements for a sales mission could include updating invitation lists; adapting travel trade presentation materials; and selection and shipment of collateral and promotional material. Follow-up leads are incorporated into the department’s database.

Qualifications

Basic

  • Strong organizational, communication and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills – to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint - are required

Preferred

  • Previous internships a plus

**Interns will be paid $15 per hour, must be enrolled in classes, & must be able to work between 20-24 hours a week. (Flexibility in days/hours)
