One of the things that makes Orlando strong is how our community shows up for local businesses. That spirit is at the heart of 321-to-407 Days (inspired by Central Florida’s long-time area codes), which returns March 21 through April 7.

Working with Orange County Government, the City of Orlando and the Orlando Economic Partnership, we’re bringing back a mobile-friendly digital deals passbook that makes it easy for residents and visitors to find offers from participating businesses and organizations, redeemable right from a phone. This initiative is a simple invitation to show up for the businesses and organizations that help make Orlando, Orlando — and to keep that momentum going throughout spring break.

At the DTO Store downtown, shoppers can receive $4.07 off our first destination cookbook, “Orlando’s Kitchens: Recipes and Stories From Our Neighborhoods,” plus select 407 merchandise — a nod to the people, neighborhoods and small businesses that make Orlando what it is.

ICON Park 'Art Way' Unveiling Ceremony
Located at ICON Park is the “Orlando Unbelievably Real” mural, part of the Orlando Unbelievably Real (O.U.R.) Culture Project, which brings communities and artists together to create inspiring activations that showcase what makes Orlando Unbelievably Real.

The campaign also highlights shareable 407 Day visuals across the destination, including the Orlando sign at Luminary Green Park in Creative Village and Clark Orr’s Unbelievably Real Murals downtown (Orange & Pine), The Florida Mall entrance, and ICON Park’s Art Way — spotlighting everything from fireworks and water adventures to simulation and rocket launches.

These representations serve as testament to the imagination and innovation found in our region, reinforcing the message to residents and visitors alike that they are integral to what makes Orlando Unbelievably Real.

Programs like this reflect how we continue to work alongside our partners to strengthen the local economy, elevate our destination and ensure tourism delivers benefits across our community.

Accepting Nonprofit Applications for Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Presented By Orlando Health

Nonprofit applications are now open for Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Presented by Orlando Health, an annual initiative that supports both local restaurants and community organizations.

Last year, through Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining, $398,307 was donated to nonprofits advancing early childhood development and learning across Central Florida. Building on that impact, donated funds this year will benefit organizations focused on accessibility and inclusion for individuals with disabilities.

This year’s focus reflects a broader commitment to ensuring Orlando is a destination — and a community — where everyone feels welcomed and supported. Guided by our mission, we continue to look for ways tourism can deliver meaningful benefits beyond visitor spending, strengthening quality of life for residents while supporting important local work.

Eligible nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply online by Friday, April 17. Selected organizations will receive funding generated through the program while gaining visibility tied to one of Visit Orlando’s most established community initiatives.

For questions about eligibility or the application process, contact Visit Orlando’s Director of Community Relations and External Affairs Kristin Westover.

Tourism Industry Supports Displaced Residents After Rialto Apartments Evacuation

Yesterday, hundreds of residents were displaced following the evacuation of The Rialto Apartments on Sand Lake Road. Visit Orlando’s team has been actively coordinating with Orange County’s Office of Emergency Management, local authorities and the American Red Cross to help secure temporary hotel accommodations for affected individuals.

We extend our appreciation to our hotel partners who stepped up quickly to provide discounted rooms. They include:

  • Courtyard by Marriott Across from Universal Orlando
  • Doubletree Theme Park Resort
  • La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Orlando International Drive North
  • Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando at FLAMINGO CROSSINGS
  • Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando LBV
  • Residence Inn Orlando at SeaWorld
  • Rosen Hotels & Resorts

Their willingness to assist, especially during a busy period with MegaCon and spring break driving exceptionally high occupancy, exemplifies the strength and compassion of our hospitality community.

As Orange County continues evaluating how long residents may be displaced, Visit Orlando will remain closely engaged in coordinating response efforts. If your property has additional rooms available to support displaced residents, please contact Visit Orlando’s Director of Community Relations and External Affairs Kristin Westover.
