As the FIFA World Cup 2026™ kicks off in North America, Visit Orlando is leveraging the global spotlight to position Orlando as a premier companion city for fans traveling throughout the region. Featuring 48 teams competing in 104 matches from June 11 to July 19, this is the largest tournament in FIFA history and is expected to drive significant visitor activity across the continent.
To capture that opportunity, Visit Orlando launched a three-phased, integrated marketing campaign spanning digital advertising, public relations and social media, all driving to VisitOrlando.com/soccer. The dedicated landing page serves as a central hub for World Cup-themed events, member offers and destination inspirations, generating more than 1.3 million pageviews to date.
In phase two, we activated around the Road to 26 matches in all the cities, including in Orlando during matches featuring Colombia and Brazil against Croatia respectively. The effort brought media and influencers to Orlando to experience our soccer culture firsthand and share trip-planning inspirations. Among them was Brazilian influencer @luccamaciel_, who showcased Orlando's vibrant watch-party atmosphere and destination experiences to a global fan base.
Starting this afternoon at Pointe Orlando, the Orlando Soccer Celebration presented by Verizon will bring the tournament to life, with viewings of all matches, live music, global foods, fan zones and appearances from Orlando City and Orlando Pride players, creating a festival-like atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
During select dates, Visit Orlando will host a high-visibility fan zone activation designed to engage attendees and provide relief from the summer heat. The interactive “Orlando Built for Fans” experience will give visitors a place to recharge and connect with the destination while still taking in the match-day atmosphere.
Together, these efforts extend the FIFA World Cup’s reach into Orlando.
