Orlando has the space, venues, accommodations, dining, entertainment and services needed to create memorable and productive events.”

“We want to congratulate Orlando for being recognized as a Cvent Top Meeting Destination in North America. This prestigious accolade is a testament to Orlando’s commitment to partnering with hoteliers and event planners alike to orchestrate exceptional events,” said Bharet Malhotra, Cvent Senior Vice President, Hospitality Cloud. “Given the tremendous value that meetings and events bring to local economies, it’s more important than ever that convention & visitors bureaus and destination management companies embrace their role as destination advocates to attract group business to their locales.”

Meetings and conventions, including city-wide and in-house events, booked by the Visit Orlando convention sales team in 2023 and beyond, will bring an approximately $4 billion impact on the local economy. Beyond supporting local businesses and employing thousands, meetings bring considerable recognition and benefit to supporting the Orange County community. For example, events at the OCCC alone over the past year contributed:

  • $1 million in donated home improvement products.

  • 40,000 pounds of repurposed materials to build homes.
