Expanded role to drive digital innovation, AI integration and data-powered decision making to strengthen global reach and engagement

ORLANDO, Fla. (April 24, 2025) – Visit Orlando, the Official Tourism Association® for Orlando and the No. 1 travel destination in the U.S., has promoted Tim Megginson to Vice President of Digital & Data Strategy. In this expanded role, Megginson will oversee the organization’s digital marketing, email CRM, business analytics and emerging technology initiatives, including the integration of AI and a strengthened focus on privacy-first data strategy. He will continue leading the Digital Marketing team and report to Visit Orlando’s incoming Chief Operating Officer.

Over the past eight years at Visit Orlando, Megginson—most recently Senior Director of Digital Marketing and Technology—has driven transformative initiatives including the redesign of 10 websites, generating 90 million sessions in 2024. He launched the DOMO business intelligence platform to expand access to data across the organization and has led successful AI-powered pilot campaigns using Google’s Performance Max and Demand Gen. His work continues to advance how the organization leverages data to enhance storytelling, personalize user journeys, and optimize marketing outcomes

With over 18 years of experience, Megginson previously held leadership roles at Universal Orlando Resort and The Dollywood Company. He was named one of Orlando Business Journal’s “17 People to Know in Tourism and Hospitality” and received the 2024 Domo Community Ovation Award for “Rookie of the Year.” He also serves on the IAB Measurement, Attribution & Data Board, and holds an MBA from the University of Florida. Megginson lives in Orlando’s Horizon West community with his wife and four children.
